A taste of home,
wherever home is.
From South Africa to Waterford, Tiggy’s Café was created to share the recipes, memories and familiar flavours that have always brought our family together.
Food has always been part of our family story.
Tiggy's Café began with a simple idea: to share the South African flavours I grew up with in my new home in Ireland.
Growing up in Port Elizabeth, now known as Gqeberha, food was always at the centre of family gatherings. Homemade koeksisters, milk tarts, malva pudding and celebration cakes were more than treats. They were memories, traditions and moments shared around the table.
After moving to Ireland, I realised how much I missed those familiar tastes. What began as baking for family and friends slowly became Tiggy's Café.
Today, every order is handmade in Waterford using the same recipes, care and passion I grew up with. Thank you for supporting our small family business.
Recipes carried
across the world.
Port Elizabeth is a wonderfully diverse city where cultures, traditions and flavours meet. It was there that I learned to make Cape Malay koeksisters from my Mom.
Although Cape Malay koeksisters carry the heritage of Cape Town, they became part of our own family story in the Eastern Cape.
Today, every order is prepared in Waterford using the same care and familiar techniques I grew up with.
Made with care.
Every order is personal, freshly prepared and rooted in the South African flavours we know and love.
